The challenge was to identify and support women aspiring to be leaders and managers. Female executives in a variety of priority male-dominated sectors were targeted and engaged through business support, careers guidance and women’s networks.
A pilot programme, running in the Thames Valley and the Malopolska region in Poland, which aimed to increase the awareness of enterprise and entrepreneurship among teachers and their students and to build an enterprise culture in schools.

The goal was to support balanced, sustainable economic growth in 5 European growth areas via cooperation, sharing best practice, exchange and learning. The programme included workshops for teachers and for students interested in going beyond the usual provision of enterprise learning. A course for UK and Polish teachers was organised at Oxford Brookes University followed by conference for KS4 students which provided an introduction to starting a business. A series of 4 one-day business and enterprise workshops for KS4 students were held at the Marlborough School, Woodstock and another 3 entrepreneurship workshops for KS5 students took place at Oxford Community School. Workshops were also organised in Poland for secondary (gymnasium) and post-secondary students, using materials developed in England. The programme closed out with a joint celebration at the Enterprise Journey Conference in Oxford.

Ngage designed, marketed and managed the Step Ladders programme. The project was focussed on assessing participants needs and offering the best mentoring, training, advice and hands-on support available to help them develop their business concept.
Many offenders face challenges in finding employment after release from prison. This pilot project entitled “Could you give yourself a job?” ran at two prisons in Buckinghamshire and encouraged offenders to think about their skills, research business ideas and explore the opportunity to become their own boss on release.

This pilot programme ran at two prisons - Springhill Open Prison and Grendon Secure Prison, both in Buckinghamshire. One-to-one mentoring was available to support the workshops. The project was seen as a success by prison authorities with a total of 25 prisoners attending. All workshops were oversubscribed, and the drop-out rate was minimal.
A consultancy project to analyse market opportunities for Milton Keynes Council to run a range of services on social enterprise models.
South East England Development Agency (SEEDA)
Creation of a Regional Procurement Guide outlining the rules and procedures around public procurement for social enterprises and procurement professionals · An Opportunity Analysis report provided evidence to suggest the main priorities for public procurers in the sub-region.
To analyse and assess the potential market opportunities for Milton Keynes Council services to be run on a social enterprise basis and produce a guide on procurement making subsequent recommendations for implementation. The guide highlighted key sales opportunities and benefits for social enterprises and provided practical and informative guidance on bidding and running successful contracts.
